ministry ethics PREACHING: I will do my best in delivering the messages that the Lord gives to me. It is possible, as an evangelist, that some messages may be repeated in other meetings, however, I pray the Lord will keep me current and my heart hot. DECISION: I do not feel pressured to "produce" decisions. I will pray, preach and be available to the pastor, then trust the Lord to give the increase. I promise there will be no trickery during the invitations. There will be love, courtesy, and a clear understanding of what we are inviting people to do. AVAILABILITY: I am an invited guest of the pastor. I will be available to him, to help him in any way that I can. FINANCES: Under no circumstances will I promote the offering. The pastor who uses a full-time evangelist, will understand the needs of this calling and will lead his people to give a worthy offering. I would kindly request that expenses (travel, lodging, meals) be met separately and not taken out of the love offering. PASTOR: Pastor, I have a deep burden to help you in anyway I possibly can. I have been a pastor for over 30 years. I know the heartaches and the joys of your calling. You can be absolutely certain that I will exalt your ministry before your people.
